The blanket consists of the main body and decorations. Start from creating the main body first. Then make and attach the accessories.

Note: This pattern is making in Chinese crochet pattern terms, and the stitch name is written using American terminology. All measurements in charts are in cm.

Part 1 Main bodyA

The main body is divided into fabric piece, Motif 1, Motif 2, Motif 3, edging for the fabric piece, joining motifs to the fabric and edging the entire blanket. First, create the fabric piece. Then, edge around. Next, complete the motifs separately. For the last round of the motifs, you need to connect as you crochet. After all motifs are complete, connect them to the fabric piece (25#Whisper White(Impression Misty Feather)). Finally, edging around the whole blanket. Note:

  • When you finished the fabric piece, measure the diameter of it. If there's a big difference to 12 cm, you may redo the work, adjusting the tension of motif by tighten or loosen the stitches as needed. The finished fabric piece should measure about 62.5cm along the edge. 
  • This pattern is a schematic, refer to the pixel grid chart for actual row counts when crocheting.

    STEP 3 Motif 2A3 00' 08'' (Part 2)

    The Motif 2 is divided into leaves, the base, and the trunk. First ,crochet the leaves, then work the base. While working on the base, attach the leaves in numerical order and according to their positions, last, crochet the trunk. Once done, sew it onto the base.     Part 2 DecorationsB

    The decorations include butterflies, plant decorations, animal decorations and assembly. Patterns for animal decorations are in chart. After crocheting each respectively, sew them onto the corresponding placement refer to the finished product. Add expressions by sewing, include details like antenna. Please refer to the video demonstration for more details.
