Autumn Rhythm

This blanket is divided into Motif One, Motif Two, Motif Three, Motif Four, Motif Five, and the Edging. First, crochet the motifs and connect them, then crochet the edging along the connected motifs.

The handcrafted measurements may have an error of 1 to 2 cm. 
Due to variations in individual tension, the size of the sample is for reference only.

Note: 1. This pattern is making in Chinese crochet pattern terms, and the stitch name is written using American terminology. All measurements in charts are in cm. 

Part 1 Motif One A​ 01' 09'' (Part 1) ​

The center is made up of small motifs started with an adjustable magic ring, worked and joined along the side as you go. All motifs are crocheted in rounds counterclockwise starting with a magic ring. First, work the central small flower, then crochet the surrounding four flowers in counterclockwise order. The last round is joined with other motifs.  Please refer to the video demonstration for more details.

Note:
1. Start with the first round in the center, then crochet 4 small flowers; the petals of the small flowers need to be connected to the center and the petals of another flower.
2. In the 5th round, pick up the stitches from the 1st round to crochet.
3. In the 6th round, the 2 double crochets next to the corner need to be connected to the petals (the crochet hook goes through the back of the petal before completing the double crochet); after crocheting 7 chains, slip stitch into the braid of the 5th round.
4. In the 7th round, pick up the front loop of the double crochets from the 6th round to crochet the triangular small flowers; slip stitch into the braid of the 6th round.
5. In the 8th round, the double crochets at the corners pick up the back loop of the double crochets from the 6th round; some double crochets need to enclose 2 braids.
6. In the 10th round, some double crochets need to be connected to the small flowers.
7. In the last round, the middle group only needs 2 double crochets.
8. Except for the last round of the first motif which does not need to be connected, the last round of other motifs needs to be crocheted and joined simultaneously.

Part 2 Motif Two B​ 43' 56'' (Part 1) ​

It includes the central area and the outer area. Crochet the central area first, then crochet the outer area counterclockwise in rounds. Please refer to the video demonstration for more details.

Part 3 Motif Three C​ 60' 44'' (Part 1) ​

Include the mushroom decorations and the base piece. The mushroom decorations include mushrooms, large patterns, and small patterns. Crochet the mushroom decorations first, then crochet the base piece and connect them. For the mushroom decorations, start with a chain stitch, crochet in rounds first, then crochet back and forth. The base piece is crocheted in rounds counterclockwise. Please refer to the video demonstration for more details.

Part 4 Motif  Four D​ 00' 08'' (Part 2) ​

It includes acorns and base pieces. The acorn includes a top piece and a bottom piece. First, crochet back and forth for the top piece, then crochet back and forth for the bottom piece and connect it with the top piece. Afterwards, crochet in rounds for the base piece and connect it with the acorn. Please refer to the video demonstration for more details.

Part 5 Motif Five E​ 06' 59'' (Part 2) ​

The chart for the base piece of Motif Five is identical to that of Motif Three. Start with a chain stitch, join with a slip stitch to form a ring, and crochet in rounds.

Part 6 Edging F​ 07' 36'' (Part 2) ​

Crochet in rounds counterclockwise around the connected motifs, starting from any corner. Please refer to the video demonstration for more details.

Note: Leave a 10cm tail at the end for binding off.
