Bell Vest Dress Set

This set has a dress and a shawl. The dress consists of the front piece, the back piece, the edging, and the accessories.

The handcrafted measurements may have an error of 1 to 2 cm. Due to variations in individual tension, the size of the sample is for reference only.
Materials: Susan's Family Combed 5# Lace

Hook: 2.50 mm crochet hook

Part 1 Front pieceA​ 00' 38'' ​

The front piece begins with several foundation groups, then crochet back and forth. From bottom to top, it's divided into the skirt, the bodice, and the neck-and-shoulder. The skirt is divided into Section 1, Section 2 and Section 3. Please refer to the video demonstration for more details.

Note: After completing Row 6 in Section 1, you can measure the dimensions of the piece. About 77 cm wide and 5 cm tall. If there’s a significant difference, you need to adjust your tension and re-crochet to avoid affecting the finished dimension.

Part 2 Back pieceB​ 32' 31'' ​

The back piece also begins with several foundation groups, and then work back and forth in rows. It is also divided into the skirt, the bodice, and the neck-and-shoulder. The crochet method is similar to the front piece. After completing the back piece, join the shoulders and the skirt edges. Please refer to the video demonstration for more details.

Joining method: Work a single crochet by inserting the hook into both the front and back corresponding positions on the wrong side. The specific joining method can also be adjusted according to your preference.

Part 3 EdgingC​ 41' 31'' ​

Separately edging the cuffs, the neckline and the hem. For the cuffs and the neckline, separately crocheting in rounds around the cuffs and the neckline formed by the front and back pieces, the method is the same. The hem edging is crocheted in rounds starting from the cast-on edge of the skirt. Please refer to the video demonstration for more details.

Part 4 AccessoriesD​ 48' 59'' ​

The accessories include ties and floral leaf decorations. For the ties, crochet a Romanian cord first (About 1.4m long, adjustable length, leave 20cm yarn tails at the beginning and end for sewing on pearl buttons), then add the pearl buttons. The floral leaf decorations are divided into Motif 1, Motif 2, Motif 3, Motif 4, leaves and sewing. Crochet them separately first, then sew them to the bodice of the front and back, as well as the shoulder-parts. Please refer to the video demonstration for more details.

Note: 1. the number of each motif and leaf in the chart is for reference only, you can adjust the quantity and their positions as needed.
2. Leave a long yarn tail at the end of each motif and leaf for sewing.

Part 5 ShawlE​ 87' 02'' ​

The shawl consists of the main part and the edging. The main part starts with a foundation chain, then work back and forth along the chain. Finally, crochet the edging, crochet around the edge of the main part in rounds. Please refer to the video demonstration for more details.

Note: Finish the 4th row of the main part, with a height of about 3cm, and the width of the bottom edge is approximately 137.5cm. If there’s a significant difference, you need to adjust your tension and re-crochet to avoid affecting the finished dimension.
