Celestial Hall

This hanging ornament consists of three parts: large motifs, small motifs, and accessory assembly. First, crochet the large motifs and small motifs separately, then add the accessories and assemble them together.

Note: Hand-measured, with a margin of error of 1-2 cm. Due to individual differences in tension, the sample size is for reference only.

Yarn : Combed 3# Lace. Tools : 2.00 mm crochet hook.

1. This pattern is making in Chinese crochet pattern terms, and the stitch name is written using American terminology. All measurements in charts are in cm. 

PART 1 Large Motifs A​​ 00' 35'' ​

The large motifs are identical and made in two pieces, both starting with a provisional chain cast on. First, work crocheting in rounds. Then crochet the corner fill-in, and finally continue crocheting in rounds. You'll need to change yarn during the process. Please refer to the video demonstration for more details.

Note: 1. In R 3, find the center stitch and join the yarn to crochet in the stitch to the right of it.
2. On R 6, find the center stitch, join yarn at the 8th stitch to the right of it, and work through the back loop throughout.  
3. On R 11, work some stitches through the back loop.

PART 2 Small Motifs​ 56' 06'' ​

The small motifs are identical and consist of 2 pieces, both worked in the round using a provisional chain cast on, crocheting counterclockwise with yarn changes throughout. Please refer to the video demonstration for more details.

PART 3 Accessories Assembly C​ 66' 50'' ​

Accessory assembly includes slip stitch decoration, patches, motif edging, beading, and sachets.

STEP 1 Slip Stitch Embellishment, Patches

First, work slip stitch decorations on the second round of both large and small motifs; the patches include large round patches for large motifs, teardrop patches, marquise rhinestones, and small round patches for small motifs. Please refer to the video demonstration for more details.

STEP 2 Edging

Motif edging is divided into large motif edging and small motif edging. For large motif edging, work two large motifs together, then crochet along the opening; for small motif edging, join two small motifs together and slip stitch around the last round, Please refer to the video demonstration for more details.

STEP 3 Beading and Sachet

The beaded strand is divided into hanging cord, connector, tassel, and pendant sections. Finally, add the sachet. Please refer to the video demonstration for more details.
