Golden Pineapple

This shawl comes in long and short versions, both consisting of Section 1, Section 2, and the edging. Work Section 1 first, then Section 2, and finally crochet the edging.

Note: Hand-measured, with a possible error of 1-2 cm. Due to the elasticity of some patterns and varying tension among individuals, the sample size is for reference only.

Yarn :  Morandi 4#, Monet Impression.Tools: 2.5 mm crochet hook.

1. This pattern is making in Chinese crochet pattern terms, and the stitch name is written using American terminology. All measurements in charts are in cm.

Note: The yarn used for Section 2 and the edging is self-striping yarn. Since self-striping yarn has multiple color segments, the starting position of the color will affect the final look. You can refer to the finished sample or choose your preferred color segment to begin crocheting. Also, due to the special nature of this yarn, it's not easy to unravel, so it's recommended to first practice the crocheting technique with leftover yarn at home before using the original yarn.

PART 1 Section 1 A​ 00' 57'' ​

Section 1 is worked in one piece, made up of rows of motifs. Each row consists of two parts—top and bottom—worked back and forth. You'll need to join them as you go and finish the side edges at the end. Please refer to the video demonstration for more details.

PART 2 Section 2 B​ 40' 02'' ​

Section 2 has two parts, both worked the same way: join the yarn to the last row of Section 1 and crochet in rows. Please refer to the video demonstration for more details.

Note: 1. The crochet method for both sections 1 and 2 is the same, only the joining position differs. After completing the first 11 rows, you can measure the size. Keep in mind that this stitch pattern has quite a bit of stretch, so make sure your piece lies flat and is roughly close to the dimensions shown in the chart. 
2. For the long version, the first 41 rows of section 2 are crocheted the same as the short version—just follow the short version chart.
