Monsoon Multi-Use Shawl

The shawl includes the main piece and tassels. First, we'll knit the main piece. Then, we'll join it together.  Finally, we'll attach the tassels.

The handcrafted measurements may have an error of 1 to 2 cm. Due to variations in individual tension, the size of the sample is for reference only.

K on RS, P on WS: knit on right side, purl on wrong side

P on RS, K on WS: purl on right side, knit on wrong side

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together on right side, purl 2 stitches together on wrong side

p2tog: purl 2 stitches together on right side, knit 2 stitches together on wrong side

psl: on first row, purl in right side or knit in wrong side; on second row, slip the stitch with yarn on the wrong side of work.

ksl: on first row, knit in right side or purl in wrong side; on second row, slip the stitch with yarn on the wrong side of work.

Note:
1. This pattern is making in Chinese crochet pattern terms, and the stitch name is written using American terminology. All measurements in charts are in cm. 
2. The chart represent the right side of fabric, so check the key to see how to work a certain symbol on the right side and on the wrong side.

Part 1 The Main PieceA​ 00' 25'' ​

The main piece starts with a knit stitch at the edge. Then, we'll work upwards in the corresponding stitch pattern. During the knitting process, we need to change colors. the main piece divide into five sections based on different colors. After completing the five sections ，join them together. Please refer to the video demonstration for more details.

Gauge

Note: The yarn is not easy to unravel. It is recommended to refer to the demonstration video of the main body and compare it with the gauge swatch diagram before knitting. Knit a gauge swatch first. If the size differs significantly from the provided gauge swatch, it is suggested to adjust the tension of your hands or change the needle size and reknit.

Note: Leave a 70 centimeters yarn tail at the beginning and ending of the main piece, for later joining.

Part 2 The TasselsB​ 28' 56'' ​

Finally, at both ends, attach tassels. Use the corresponding same color yarn for each section. Please refer to the video demonstration for more details.

 Note: The tassels use two pieces of yarn about 24 centimeters long. Fold them in half.
