Qionghua

This product comes in two styles: table runner and blanket, both divided into 5 parts - motifs, joining together, corner triangles, edging, and tassels. First crochet the motifs, then join the motifs to form the corresponding shape, next crochet the corner triangles, followed by crocheting the border, and finally add the tassels.

1. This pattern is making in Chinese crochet pattern terms, and the stitch name is written using American terminology. All measurements in charts are in cm. 

Part 1 Motif A​ 

There are 3 types of motifs: Motif One, Motif Two and Motif Three.

Step 1 Motif OneA1​(Table Runner* 12, Blanket * 32) 01' 25'' (Part1) ​

Motif One uses the chain ring method to start and is crocheted back and forth. Please refer to the video demonstration for more details.

Note: All parts of the finished product are crocheted with 2 strands of yarn held together.

Step 2 Motif TwoA2​(Table runner * 4, blanket * 10) 20' 57'' (Part1) ​

Motif Two is worked using the magic ring method, crocheting in rounds counterclockwise. You will need to switch colors while crocheting. Please refer to the video demonstration for more details.

Note: The bead mohair yarn is a bit special. You need to be a little more patient when crocheting. If it gets stuck while undoing, slow down or use a needle to help loosen it.

Note: After completing the fifth round, leave a yarn tail of about 10cm to bind off.

Step 3 Motif ThreeA3​(Table runner * 3, blanket * 10) 63' 53'' (Part1) ​

Motif Three is made using the magic ring method, crocheting in rounds counterclockwise. You will need to switch colors while crocheting. Please refer to the video demonstration for more details.

Note:
1. Round 4 is crocheted on Round 2, with the Round 3 chain braid pressed at the back.
2. The single crochets of Round 5 pick up the back loops of Round 4.
3. The single crochets of Round 6 pick up the front loops of Round 4.
4. The puff stitches of Round 9 pick up the front loops, and the corresponding dc at the back pick up the back loops.
5. For the curved positions in Rounds 11 and 17, please refer to the video for specific crochet techniques. After completion, leave a yarn tail of about 10cm to weave in ends.

Part 2 Motif Joining B​ 65' 03'' (Part 2) ​

The joining involves attaching Motif One with the corresponding Motif Two and Motif Three. Refer to the finished product, the table banner is joined into one long fabric piece, while the blanket is joined into four long fabric pieces. Please refer to the video demonstration for more details.

Part 3 Corner Triangle C1​ 74' 30'' (Part 2) ​

The corner triangles are crocheted back and forth on the sides of the joined fabric pieces. Please refer to the video demonstration for more details.

Note: The table flag only needs to crochet corner triangles on Motif Two, while the blanket needs to crochet corner triangles on both Motif Two and Motif Three separately.

Note:
1. When crocheting Round 3, you can adjust the interval between the small fan pattern and the single crochet according to the actual situation to ensure the flatness of the fabric piece. Pay attention to keeping the number of small fan patterns on the two long sides of the blanket consistent when crocheting this round, for convenient joining later.
2. After completing Round 5, leave a yarn tail of about 10cm for binding off.

Blanket Edging

Note: 
1. When crocheting the third round of the blanket, keep the number of small fan patterns on the two long sides the same for easy joining together later.
2. After completing the fifth round, leave a yarn tail about 10cm long to fasten off.
3. The chart omits the left side here. When crocheting, refer to the first three rounds of the table flag edging for the first three rounds. The omitted part from the fourth to fifth round should be symmetrical with the right side.

Part 5 TasselE​ 117' 03'' (Part2) ​

The tassel making method for the table flag and blanket is the same, both are made at the top point of the corner triangle on the strip piece. Lastly, secure the edges of motif three. Please refer to the video demonstration for more details.
