Swallow Spring

This hanging ornament is divided into 2 parts: crocheting, accessories, and sewing. Complete the crocheted part first, then make the accessories and sew all parts together. And sew all parts together.

Note: 
1. A single material pack can make 2 swallows, one large and one small. The large swallow can be used as a hanging ornament, while the small swallow can be used as a brooch. After completing the large swallow and learning the method, you can make the small swallow according to its pattern chart if needed.
2. The finished product's yarn is relatively thin. Everyone can first use the yarn at home to learn the crocheting method, and then crochet with the original version of the yarn.

The handcrafted measurements may have an error of 1 to 2 cm.

Note:
1. This pattern is making in Chinese crochet pattern terms, and the stitch name is written using American terminology. All measurements in charts are in cm. 
 
2. Working in joined round: When crocheting in rounds without further guidance, working in closed rounds, start each round with a set number of beginning chains and close with a slip stitch. The beginning chain preceding a single crochet and the slip stitch used for joining rounds are not included in the total stitches.

The large swallow

Part 1 The crocheting partA​

Note: Use X-shaped single crochet for the crocheted part, and start by picking up the back ridge of the foundation chain evenly to create a tighter fabric with smaller gaps.

The crocheted parts include the head piece, the body piece, the tummy piece, the short tail piece, the eyes piece, the left and right legs, the long tail piece, and feathers.

Step 1 The head piece 01' 36'' (Part1) ​

There are 2 fabric pieces for the head, both starting with a foundation chain and worked back and forth. Finally, crochet along the side edges. Please refer to the video demonstration for details.

Step 2 The body piece 13' 14'' (Part1) ​

The body pieces are 2 identical ones. Both use the foundation chain method to start, then work back and forth before crocheting in rounds. Finally, switch colors and crochet 1 row. Please refer to the video demonstration for specifics.

Step 3 The tummy and the short tail 21' 41'' (Part1) ​

The belly piece is started with a foundation chain and crocheted in rounds counterclockwise. After completion, a short tail piece is crocheted on top. Please refer to the video demonstration for specifics.

Step 4 The eyes 33' 30'' (Part1) ​

There are 2 eye pieces, both using the magic ring method to start, and crocheting in rounds counterclockwise. Please refer to the video demonstration for specifics.

Step 6 the long tail piece 42' 50'' (Part1) ​
