Tang-style Coat

This coat consists of the back piece, the left and right front pieces, the sleeve pieces, the lace trim, the chest motifs and the Chinese frogs. First, complete the crochet and joining of the back and front pieces and the sleeves. Then crochet the lace trim and sew it on. Finally, crochet the chest motifs and Chinese frogs and sew them onto the coat.

The handcrafted measurements may have an error of 1 to 2 cm. Due to variations in individual tension, the size of the sample is for reference only.

Part 1 Back piece 00' 53'' ​

Part 3 Sleeve pieces 06' 33'' ​

The sleeve pieces which consist of the sleeve body, the sleeve cap, and the cuff. First, complete the sleeve body and the sleeve cap. Then, pick stitches along the foundation chain and crochet the cuff. The rev-sc on the cuff, should be crocheted a bit tighter. Sew the sleeve pieces together and attach them to the body of the garment, using the single crochet sewing method throughout.

Part 4 Lace trim 15' 09'' ​

The lace trim includes the neckline lace trim, the front piece lace trim and the back piece lace trim. Crochet the back piece lace trim first, then finish the first 7 rows of each of the two front piece lace trims. And then finish the first 7 rows of the neckline lace trim. Finally, crochet the last 3 rows of the neckline and the front pieces together. The rev-sc should be crocheted a bit tighter.

Part 5 Chest motifs 15' 56'' ​

Crochet 2 motifs based on the pattern chart. After completing the crocheting, sew the motifs onto the both front pieces of the position of chest.

Part 6 Chinese frogs 21' 26'' ​

Crochet 18 Romanian cords with color 1, each 7 cm long. For 9 of them after completing the Romanian cords, crochet 7 chain stitches to form a buttonhole. Then fold it in half and sew together to form the Chinese frogs as shown in the picture.
