Mingyu Top

The garment includes front and back pieces, joining together, collar, edging, and decorations. Crochet the front and back pieces first, then attach the front and back pieces together, crochet the collar and border next, and finally make the decorations.

This pattern is making in Chinese crochet pattern terms, and the stitch name is written using American terminology. All measurements in charts are in cm. 

Part 1 Front Piece A​ 00' 47'' ​

The front piece starts with a foundation chain and is crocheted back and forth, divided into the body section, bust section, and left/right shoulder-parts. Please refer to the video demonstration for more details.

Part 2 Back Piece B​ 19' 56'' ​

The back piece is started with a foundation chain and worked back and forth, dividing into the body section, bust section, and left/right shoulder-parts. The crochet method is almost similar to the front piece. After completing the back piece, align it with the right side of the front piece, then separately attach the shoulder part sloping and the body section.  Please refer to the video demonstration for more details.

Part 3 Collar C​ 26' 24'' ​

The collar is first decreased on the front neckline and the back neck opening, working back and forth. Then, crochet 1 round of edges around the entire neckline. Please refer to the video demonstration for more details.

Part 4 Edging  D​ 33' 39'' ​

The edging is divided into cuff edging and hem edging. Both are worked by picking up stitches on the right side and crocheting one round of single crochet, then working another round of single crochet evenly without increasing or decreasing. Please refer to the video demonstration for more details.

Part Decorations E​ 34' 12'' ​

1 . The decorations are divided into Chinese frogs and side buttons. There are two Chinese frogs in total; one has a buttonhole, and the other doesn't. The one without a buttonhole needs to have a large pearl button attached.
2 . The side buttons are made on both sides of the garment. Three small pearl buttons are attached on one side. For more details, Please refer to the video demonstration for more details.
