Changyu

This cardigan is divided into the back piece, left and right front pieces, sleeves, front bands, and edging. First, crochet the back piece, the left and right front pieces, and the sleeves separately. Then connect the sleeves, and finally make the front bands and edge.

The handcrafted measurements may have an error of 1 to 2 cm.

Part 1 Back PieceA​ 01' 14''

It is composed of Motif One, the first section, the second section, and Motif Two. Crochet Motif One first, then crochet the first section and the second section separately, and finally crochet Motif Two. Please refer to the video demonstration for more details.

Note:
① Motif One starts with a chain ring method and is crocheted counterclockwise in a circular pattern. Some rounds require color changes, and each round is worked back and forth alternately.
② The chart for Motif One only shows Rounds 1-9, but you actually crochet 25 rounds in total. After completing Round 9, go back to Round 4 and continue, with Rounds 4-9 forming one sequence group. Repeat this until Round 25.
③ Work the first section and second section separately by crocheting back and forth along the sides of Motif One.
④ Every round of Motif Two is crocheted on the right side.
⑤ The first four rounds of Motif Two can be crocheted randomly in terms of color scheme. However, since Round 5 uses the main color yarn, try to use less main color in the first four rounds. You can crochet Rounds 1-4 of Motif Two first, plan out the color combinations, then crochet Round 5 together to join them.

Part 2 Right and Left Front Piece 45' 36'' ​B​

It is made up of Motif Two and the third section. First, crochet and join the corresponding number of Motif Twos simultaneously. Then, pick up stitches along the sides of the connected right and left front pieces (Motif Two) and the side of the back piece (Motif One), and work back and forth to create the third section. Part 3 Sleeve 49' 42'' ​C​

Divide into the sleeve body and cuffs. First, crochet the sleeve body, starting with a foundation chain, and work back and forth along the starting chain. After finishing the sleeve body, connect it, then start a new row and crochet in rounds along the sleeve body for the cuffs. Finally, connect it to the body. Part 4 Front Band 64' 08'' ​D​

Made up of motif three, using the chain ring method to start, crochet in a circular pattern counterclockwise and change colors every round. The color scheme is still random, pay attention not to use the main color yarn. Work and join simultaneously as well. Please refer to the video demonstration for more details.

Part 5 Edging 75' 01'' ​E​

Divide into two parts. The first part is to crochet the edging around the outer-ring of the garment. The second part is to crochet 1 row of lace trim at the hem. Please refer to the video demonstration for more details.
