This piece is divided into two parts: the main part and the edging. First, crochet the main part, then work the edging around its edges once it's done.

Note: Measurements are taken by hand, so there might be a 1-2 cm error.Since everyone's tension is different, the sample size is just for reference.

Yarn : Combed 5# Lace Variegated or Combed 5# Lace.
Tools: Susan's Family 1.8 mm crochet hook or a regular 1.75 mm crochet hook.

Note: For the variegated version, use Susan's Family  Combed 5# Lace Variegated. For the solid color version, use Susan's Family  Combed 5# Lace. Since #5 Variegated Lace is a variegated yarn with different color sections, the starting point will affect the final look. Feel free to check out the finished product or just pick your favorite color section to start crocheting!

Part 1 Main Part A 00' 54''

The main part uses two types of motifs: Motif 1 and Motif 2. For Motif 1, start with a magic ring using chain stitches and crochet in rounds counter-clockwise. For Motif 2, start with a chain, crochet in rounds counter-clockwise first, and finish by crocheting in rows. Only the very first Motif 1 is worked completely on its own; all the other motifs need to be joined as you go. Please refer to the video demonstration for more details.

Motif 1

Note: 1. After finishing round 3 of Square 1, measure it. If the size is way off, adjust your tension or switch hook sizes and re-crochet to avoid messing up the final dimensions.
2. After finishing round 5 of Square 1, it should be about 7.5cm wide.
