The dreamcatcher consists of the main body, decorations and fringe. Crochet the main body and decorations first. Then attach the decorations. Finally, make the fringe and secure.

The handcrafted measurements may have an error of 1 to 2 cm. Due to variations in individual tension, the size of the sample is for reference only.
Materials: Susan's Family 4-Ply Combed Yarn (leaves), Dawn Impression (other parts)

Note:

  • This pattern is making in Chinese crochet pattern terms, and the stitch name is written using American terminology. All measurements in charts are in cm.
  • The dyed yarn has multiple color segments. Different starting positions for crocheting will result in different effects. You can refer to the finished product or choose the corresponding color segment of the yarn based on your preference to start.

    • Part 1 Main BodyA​

    The main body is divided into a motif and connections. First, crochet the motif, and then, do the connecting. The motif starts with a chain ring and are crocheted in rounds counterclockwise. Please refer to the video demonstration for more details.

     Note:
    1. After completing Round 6, the motif width should be 12.5 cm.
    2. After completing Round 12, the motif width should be 25 cm.
    If there is a significant difference in dimensions, adjust your tension to avoid affecting the finished measurement.

    Part 2 DecorationsB​

    The decorations are leaves, large flowers, medium flowers, small flowers, and pom poms. Work them separately. After completion, sew them onto the main body. Please refer to the video demonstration for more details.

    Large pom-poms × 2 pieces: Use a pom-pom maker with a 7 cm diameter, wrapping about 150 rounds on each side, or wrap 300 rounds on a piece of cardboard
    Small pom-poms × 4 pieces: Use a pom-pom maker with a 5.5 cm diameter, wrapping about 120 rounds on each side, or wrap 240 rounds on a piece of cardboard.

    Part 3 FringeC​

    The fringe is divided into feathers, hanging loop, strands, and lace bands. Make them separately and then attach them to the main body. Please refer to the video demonstration for more details.

    Note:

  • Starting from the second row, all stitches are worked into the back loop only.
  • After crocheting a feather, crochet a row of slip stitches along the foundations chain and the center of each row. Then, make a chain and thread through a large and a small wooden bead. Finally, sew it onto the edge of the main body.

    • The chain lengths for the feathers are: 8.5 cm, 28 cm, 22 cm, and 15 cm.
    The hanging loop length is 50 cm.
    The lace band lengths are: 60 cm, 80 cm, 70 cm, and 65 cm.
    Strands: each consists of 2 strands of a 85 cm yarn.
    Note: the specific amount of strands can be adjusted according to leftover yarn or personal preference.
