Fortune Barrettes

This hair accessory is divided into two parts: a headband and matching hair clips. The headband includes a pre-made headband, headband cover, large balls, ribbon, pendant, and large tassel. The matching hair clips include pre-made clips, small pom-poms, ribbons, pendants, and small tassels. First, complete the crocheted parts, then assemble them according to their corresponding components.

Materials: 4-Ply Combed Cotton & Acrylic Fibre Hand Knitting Yarn

Hook: 2.00 mm crochet hook 

Note: This pattern is making in Chinese crochet pattern terms, and the stitch name is written using American terminology. All measurements in charts are in cm. 

Part 1 Headband Cover A​​

The headband is worked using a magic ring, crocheted in spirals counterclockwise. 

Part 2 Large Balls × 2B​​

There are 2 large balls, both using the magic ring method, crocheting in rounds counterclockwise, and adding stuffing as you crochet. Finally, leave about 15 centimeters of yarn tail to close the opening.

Part 3 Small Balls × 4C​​

There are 4 small balls, all of which are started with a magic ring and crocheted in rounds counterclockwise. When crocheting, stuffing is added inside. At last, leave about 15 centimeters of yarn tail to close the opening. 

Part 4 Assembly

Step 1 Assembly of the HeadbandD1​​

First, sew a circle of ribbon at the closing position of the large ball. Then sew the ribbon bow onto the headband, followed by attaching the large ball. Finally, add pendants and large tassels as decorations to both ends of the headband. 

Step 2 Assembly of the Hair ClipsD2​​

The hair clips come in two styles: one with a pearl pendant and the other with tassel decorations. Both are made by first sewing together the ribbon, then assembling the small balls, and finally adding the pendants and small tassels. Pay attention to maintaining symmetry when making two hair clips of the same style.
