The drawstring pouch is divided into the boy and the girl. Both designs are identical. We will explain it in two parts: the upper part and the lower part. Among these, the upper part mainly includes the head, the upper garment, the arms, and the facial features. The lower part mainly includes the body and decorations. The two designs differ only in the facial features, the rest of the parts are the same. First, complete the upper and lower parts separately, then use a drawstring to connect them.

The handcrafted measurements may have an error of 1 to 2 cm. Due to variations in individual tension, the size of the sample is for reference only.

Note:
 1. This pattern is making in Chinese crochet pattern terms, and the stitch name is written using American terminology. All measurements in charts are in cm.
 2. Working in joined round
When crocheting in rounds without further guidance, working in closed rounds, start each round with a set number of beginning chains and close with a slip stitch. The beginning chain preceding a single crochet and the slip stitch used for joining rounds are not included in the total stitches.

Upper part

Start by crocheting the head. Then, crochet the upper garment following the head. After completing it, crochet the arms separately and sew them on. Finally, add the facial features.

Part 1 Head 01' 50'' (Part 1)

Crochet in rounds using the magic ring method. Please refer to the video demonstration for more details.

Part 2 The upper garment 29' 47'' (Part 1)

Continuing from the corresponding position of the head, crochet in rounds for the top, then break the yarn and weave in the ends on the wrong side. Finally, attach the decorative band. Please refer to the video demonstration for specifics.

Part 3 Arms 43' 35'' (Part 1)

They are identical, both starting with crocheting the arms, then the sleeves. After attaching the decorative bands, sew them onto the sides of the top, roughly aligning with the fourth round. Please refer to the video demonstration for specifics.

Part 4 Facial features

Step 1 Boy's facial features 00' 13'' (Part 2)

There are eyebrows, eyes, mouth, and the hat. Embroider the eyebrows and mouth with the yarn first, then attach the eyes. Then, make the hat separately. Sew onto the head. Please refer to the video demonstration for more details.

Step 2 Girl's facial features 17' 54'' (Part 2)

There are eyebrows, eyes, mouth, and hair. Please refer to the video demonstration for more details.

Lower part

Start by crocheting the body and make the decorations.

Part 1 Body 26' 11'' (Part 2)

The body still starts with a magic ring and crochet in rounds. Please refer to the video demonstration for more details.

Part 2 Decorations 28' 25'' (Part 2)

Decorations, divided into embroidery (using gold thread, embroidered on the body between rounds 16 and 17) and sequins and beads sewing (using one strand of gold thread, sewn on the body between rounds 20 and 21, and between rounds 25 and 26, in about 12 groups, staggered). Please refer to the video demonstration for specifics.

Connect the top and bottom parts 33' 57'' (Part 2)

First, use the 51#High Risk Red to crochet the drawstring, with the finished length being about 110 cm. Adjust the length as needed based on your actual situation. Then attach it to the top and bottom sections. Finally, crochet small balls at the tie-off points. Please refer to the video demonstration for specifics.
