Star Ant

The doll includes two parts: the main part and accessories. Complete the main part first, then make and attach each accessory.

Finished measurement: The doll is about 15 cm tall without antennae.
The handcrafted measurements may have an error, the size of the sample is for reference only.

Hook: 1.75 mm crochet hook

Note:1. This pattern is making in Chinese crochet pattern terms, and the stitch name is written using American terminology. All measurements in charts are in cm. 
2. Working in joined round: When crocheting in rounds without further guidance, working in closed rounds, start each round with a set number of beginning chains and close with a slip stitch. The beginning chain preceding a single crochet and the slip stitch used for joining rounds are not included in the total stitches.

Part 1 Main partA​​

The main parts of the two styles are identical, both including the head, arms, legs, hip, and body.

Continue crocheting the body part upwards from the hip. The first 2 rows are crocheted in rows, and the remaining part is crocheted in rounds. The accessories include wings, facial features, hair, antennae, and pants. Among them, the Ant style has one extra leaf, and the Stardust style has an additional pair of small wings.

Step 1 Large wingsB1​ 79' 31'' (Part1) ​

(The wings on both styles are large wings.) The large wings are divided into right and left wings. Both use the foundation chain method to start, then crochet in rounds counterclockwise along the starting chain while wrapping thin wire. After completing each wing separately, attach them to the back of the body. Please refer to the video demonstration for more details.

For the Stardust style small wings, there are also right and left wings. Yarn: 24#Black Beauty. The length of the wire for a single antenna is approximately 15 cm.
Note: After both the hair and antennas are attached, sew the head to the body and secure it in place.

Step 6 PantsB6​ 67' 46'' (Part2) ​

The pants are started with a foundation chain, and then worked back and forth along the chain. After completing, sew together, and crochet the waistband, pant leg, and crotch of the pants. Finally, sew a round of decoration (with sewing thread). Please refer to the video demonstration for more details.
